March 27, 2003 Attendees: ber, rien, bub, sklarm, dave. As we waited for stragglers to straggle in we viewed the MWSF keynote which a couple in the group hadn't seen. In the processes of setting that up we discovered if you plug an 1/8" jack into the iBook while running DVD Player through the projector, the projector loses its connection. You need to plug in the audio before you connect and project. Keep that in mind. Mikey presented his presentation on the Sony Ericsson T68i and Mac OS X. It was pretty good and everyone was engaged. I have a note here about "Kates [AUEB] excellent spicy tofu chicken wings and a bluetooth pen" but I don't know what to make of it. Dave demonstrated the Apple Speakable Commands recognition system built in to our machines. He told his iBook knock knock jokes. Being new to the Mac he observed he never knew what date it was unless it was July 17th. Dave received an Apple Logo Key chain for his review of the Apple Store's Getting Started on a Mac class. Since the room wasn't overrun by the usual unruly mob we took to the opportunity to hand out complimentary diamond rings to the ladies and gold bars to the gentlemen along with other trinkets the Apple User Group Authority had kindly donated to us. There are still some leaflets and beverage coasters left over for attendees at future meetings. We also voted in officers and delegated responsibilities.
