Attendees: jim, emil, onno, ber

It's dark now at 7pm. Discussions begin with GNOME and the Apple IIgs. We have five different kinds of cups. Bought heineken at the deli to replace the blackout beer. It's slightly skunked. Should have stuck with the blackout beer.

Played with getting MySQL going on jim's machine. Apparently he picked up a cd of precompiled stuff at J&R. That didn't seem to work out too well. Onno is getting into Maya. Have a book.

We talked about programming for a change. Jim continued plugging away at MySQL. No airport card in his laptop - that enhances the challenge. He'll probably start over with Marc Liyanage's stuff when he gets home. Liyanage's site is one of the best places to get working stuff for OS X with good instructions.

Emil downloaded a battery usage graphing program and we went on about battery life. Then back to the Apple IIgs.

Played with 10.3's disk vault feature. Copy a huge file to your home directory when it's been vaulted. As you can imagine it costs plenty. No magic there. You pay for what you get.

Rineke brought us ice cream from Baskin-Robbins.

Amazingly, considering the notes, this was one of the longest running meetings ever. Must have been the skunked beer.
