Attendees: ike, bub, antony, yarema, mikey, ber We talked about 10.3.3 per the rumors published on various sites. There was hot apple cider courtesy of the rienstress. I rattled off some amazing facts discoveries since October. The existence of fax, net and sips commands. This brought up a trip down Unix manual lane wherein we revealed the significance of section numbers and the intro pages. We mucked around with endorphin.com videos for a while getting them to play over the lower east side's 2.4GHz infested airwaves. Endorphin gave us a one year subscription to give to a member. We convinced bub to take it. There was a frenzy of pycon discussion but I was out of it. I heard snippets of ruby/python comparisons. Then somehow we turned to laptop screws. I have some experience with loose ones. I think it was Mikey who rang out an endorsement for the apple bluetooth keyboard - good & cheap was what it was. That may or may not be related to Broadcom's support (illegible) documentation - poor. There were no uncomfortable pauses when the discussion turned to ISPs, spam, free shell accounts and using the iPod for reading text. I can't remember meeting we didn't talk about cellphones/data/providers - no exception this month. Tried, and pretty much failed, to give away stuff. Like no one needs a dysfunctional Magic 8 Ball key chain with an advertisement on it? Tough crowd. Another cryptic note ... "stuff catches". No idea. Maybe I meant to write "cabbage"? No beer drinking, some coffee. A couple of cigarettes around 10pm. 10:45 - adjournment - the ceremonious lowering of the spray painted sheet. Then, I think people went to the lakeside lounge to listen to the jukebox. *at Hollandsche Rading |
