LESMUUG Meetings

We talked a little about ADC, bugreporter, g-cards, WEP, etherpeg and driftnet before most showed up.

Then some shuffle, ike's keyboard lock-up problem and bugreporter some more. There was a question about how to unformat pipermail's archives so we dug into it and found the pre, /pre directives to remove.

Somehow our attention turned to street names but we came back to schmoocon. I grumbled about sheets and we compromised on significantly (perhaps with an exposé-like maneuver to make them more so) translucent sheets so you could read the text underneath them when you need to.

George made his first ever trip to the room over the new furnace as we talked about the panix hijack.

It was pretty cold, so in spite of the new furnace so we broke out the laptops and a portable oil heater and george went across the street for donuts, fresh air and sushi. He only came back with dounuts and fresh air. We heard from bill about his motion detecting app.

Octopus - is that bill's app or just a random note to self? Played with a9 search engine and discovered to no one's surprise people had never seen the lesmuug snapshots. Then an ashtray jumped to the floor and all twelve butts scattered about hither and yon. That led to the observation the vacuum cleaner was busted which upon further examination led to the observation the power strip was busted which as it turned out it wasn't - not really. What with the laptops, the portable heater and the vacuum cleaner all being plugged into it and the general electricity in the air - you know.

Ike accidently punned and the g-man took off on it. Then we adjourned at some point. Not bad.
